Nissan Motor will host the 25th edition of its National Wheelchair Race on December 1st in Yokosuka, Japan. Dedicated to promoting disability sports and building inclusive communities, the event supports the development of Paralympic athletes. Held at the Grandrive Test Course at the Oppama Plant, the Nissan Cup Oppama Championship features over 60 athletes from across the country, ranging from beginners to Paralympians, competing in 2.5km, 5km, and 10km races. This event provides a platform for athletes of all ages and abilities to compete together. Many promising Paralympic stars have taken their first steps at this event over the years. On November 29th, an event for local elementary school students will focus on wheelchair experience. Through interactive and fun activities, children develop empathy and learn the importance of inclusion and coexistence among people with diverse abilities.
